Before and after: six virtually staged rooms
Last verified 2026-11-02 · Sources: the six sample pairs below and the Wikimedia Commons files linked on this page · Report an error
Every after image on this page was produced by this site's staging pipeline from the empty-room photograph beside it. The pairs are unedited output. Six pairs are published here; the site's gallery holds eight from the same run.
What the pairs show, and what they do not
Each pair is the same room photographed once and staged once. The walls, window frames, door openings, ceiling line and camera position are unchanged between the two images; the after frame adds furniture, rugs, lighting and soft furnishings. The original photographs are CC-licensed images from Wikimedia Commons; each pair links the file page, which carries the photographer's attribution and the licence, and the staged frames are this site's output.
What the pairs do not show is a guarantee: a staged frame cannot make a room larger, add a window or a view, or tell a buyer how the furniture will feel in person. Check the scale and the walkway against the real room, and label the image as virtually staged before it reaches a portal. The label requirement is on /how-to/disclose-virtual-staging.
The image files are served from /img/ and are the same files used by the site's gallery. Upload a room to produce your own pair.
