Virtual staging guide
A listing-ready checklist for staged photographs
A staged photograph is a promise about a room. These checks catch the images that will generate a viewing nobody can fulfil, which costs more than a weak photo because the buyer has already travelled.
Check the room, not the furniture
- Walls, windows, doors, radiators and ceiling lines are where they were in the original photograph.
- Nothing has been removed that exists in the property, especially a feature the listing mentions.
- The window direction still matches how light falls in the room.
Check the scale
- Doorways and ceiling height give the eye its reference; furniture that dwarfs a door is the most common error.
- Walkways between furniture are wide enough for a person carrying a box.
- The rug is proportional to the room rather than to the sofa.
Check it is honest
- No furniture that could not physically be brought in through the door.
- No appliance, built-in or balcony that the property does not have.
- If the property is sold furnished or unfurnished, say which in the listing text next to the images.

Staging keeps the walls, windows and camera angle of your photograph; only the furnishing is added. Upload the room and the frame comes back at the resolution you sent.
