How Virtual Stage Now works
Virtual Stage Now furnishes photos of empty rooms while keeping the walls, windows, doors and camera angle exactly as you shot them. Only furniture is added. This page covers every step, every price and every limit in one place.
Option 1: Stage it yourself in the tool
- Upload one empty-room photo in the staging tool. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB. Shoot level from a corner with the floor and both side walls in frame.
- Confirm you have the right to edit the photo. Use only photos you own or are authorized to edit.
- Pick the room type: living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen, home office or outdoor.
- Pick a furnishing style: warm modern, Scandinavian, mid-century, industrial, coastal or minimal.
- Press Stage now. The staged room comes back. Without an account you get one watermarked preview a day.
- Spend a credit to download. One credit unlocks the full staged image (about 1,200 px on the long side) as three files: an MLS version labelled "Virtually staged", a before/after comparison, and the unlabelled file.
Brokers can select up to 8 angles of one room and stage them with the same furniture. Want another arrangement or look? Stage the same photo again or in a second style; each new result uses one credit.
Option 2: Done-for-you listing staging
- Open Done-for-you and upload 1 to 12 photos of one listing (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB each), or paste a Dropbox, Google Drive or MLS link.
- Choose a style (warm modern, Scandinavian, mid-century, industrial, coastal or minimal) or "Let our editor choose", and add notes such as room names.
- Tick the box: "I own these photos or am authorized by the listing photographer or broker to have them edited." The form does not submit without it.
- Pay $59. A staging editor stages each room, checks every image by hand and labels it "Virtually staged".
- Full-resolution JPGs arrive by email within 48 hours of payment, with the unaltered originals for disclosure. Reply to the delivery email for your 1 round of revisions.

Agent Pro and Team / Photographer add a listing-set ZIP download. Unused plan images carry over, up to one month’s allowance. Each regeneration of an image uses one credit.

Limits: what the tool does and does not do
- It adds furniture. It does not change walls, windows, doors, floors or the camera angle.
- Files over 8 MB are rejected before generation. Photos of people are rejected before generation.
- One full staged image is about 1,200 px on the long side.
- Room types: the six listed above. Self-serve styles: the six listed above.
- Every staged image needs disclosure when you publish it. The MLS file carries the "Virtually staged" label; keep the original available. See MLS rules for virtual staging.
- Retention: the tool keeps the full image for 3 days; delivered images stay in your browser session for 14 days; uploads are removed from storage after 14 days and are not used to train models.
Credits and refunds
A credit is spent only when a full staged image is delivered. Failed or refused generations return to your balance automatically. Unused credits refundable within 30 days of purchase. Credits already used to generate images aren't refundable. A clearly defective image (walls or windows changed, or a broken render) reported within 14 days gets its credit back or its per-image price refunded. Is a failed generation charged? No. Failed or refused generations return the credit automatically.
How do I cancel a plan? From your account page. Images stay available to the end of the paid period.
